| Hey guys, so my school offers neither the AP Chem nor AP Physics course but I was planning to take one of the exams this year. I'm trying to decide which one.
I got an 800 on the SAT II Chem last year, but I basically forgot everything I learned. I'm currently taking physics but we're still on universal gravitation right now and will be skipping heat/thermodynamics/optics to learn waves, sound, and electricity/magnetism later in the year.
So, should I review and try to take AP Chem or learn more and take AP Physics B? Thank guys you're awesome.

| Ap physics will probably be a better bet, but I'm wondering why you're taking an ap test without the ap classes. Or do you mean satII tests? | |

| No, I mean AP classes. It's basically for college credit and stuff, and because other people in my school have been self-studying for other APs as well. | |

| My school has caused me to hate chemistry and biology so the only things left are earth science and physics and haha earth science yeah right so I took physics
but physics is cool and I like it

| I didn't know you could take ap tests without taking the classes. I would still say physics, since the ap tests are a lot harder than the SATII tests. | |

| I don't think we'll cover that much in physics by May though. Perhaps I should just order both and pay $13 to get a refund for one of them when May comes? | |

| i'd say review AP chem. AP physics B (and C) is imo one of the hardest APs, and you already know some of AP chem. | |

| Take the one that will give you credit in college. If you plan on takign chemistry take chemistry. etc. | |

I dunno what I'll be taking in college lol. I think both give credit that will eventually be needed.

| Physics seems more useful in a general sense as college credits though, unless you go into bio or something. | |

| Not ap physics, but next year I'll have to take calculus based physics for engineering and stuff. Then again, I guess I said that since I'm going into an engineering field, even though it is a chemical engineering field. It just seems like physics is better for a wider range of sciences. | |

| I think I'll order both exams right now since I don't mind losing $13, but I'll probably take chem since I don't plan on majoring in physics or going into engineering.
Thanks for all the advice!

| dang it I'm late. I was going to say that the Physics B AP Exam is easy if you know the concepts behind the questions. From there it's all a matter of choosing the right formula (for free response, anyway) If I remember correctly you aren't allowed a reference table for multiple choice. You did will on the Chem SATII, so go with Chem. Don't waste your time for Physics. | |
